I'm John Jenkins. Former start-up operator turned recruiter who has helped hundreds of people secure jobs they love. I was job searching in this market myself two years ago, and I know the difference between a resume full of responsibilities and a story a hiring manager can use.
Since 2018, Joustlist has helped job seekers land interviews. Now it's a done-for-you job search service that pairs a recruiter's judgment with AI, so useful help doesn't need a four-figure agency bill. It isn't a promise that I know every hiring manager. It is a promise to keep the work honest.

What do you do for my search each weekday?
The monthly plans provide hands-on search support each weekday. Depending on what your search needs, that can mean finding a suitable role, tailoring your materials, handling an approved application, researching someone to contact or working on a follow-up. We focus on useful work, not filling a daily job quota. It does not mean a new opening every day or unlimited applications. Recruiter Partner adds closer strategy support and two live 30-minute sessions each week.
Does the free resume refresh include a human review?
Yes. Your refreshed resume and 3 picked jobs are reviewed by us before they land in your email within 48 hours. It is not an instant AI result. Where it makes sense, we'll also apply for you and draft outreach to the right people, free, always with your approval first.
Will you apply or message people without my say-so?
No. Free or paid, applications and outreach go out only with agreed targets, accurate materials and your approval. Assessments and personal attestations stay with you.
Will you work off your existing connections for me?
No. Your search is yours. We use our own research and our own network where it fits, not a list you've spent years building.
Do you mass-apply to hundreds of jobs?
No, and we'd suggest running from anyone who does. Mass applications are why response rates sit near 0.1% and why companies are drowning in noise. We apply to a handful of roles where you genuinely fit, with a resume built for that role.
Is this for executives or career changers?
The starting focus is sales, GTM and product people building on experience they already have. Executive searches and career changes may need a different scope. We can discuss fit, but they aren't the launch focus.
Do you take a cut of my salary or charge a success fee?
No. You pay for the help, not a percentage of your salary. The listed plan price is the full cost. There are no placement fees or success fees when you land a job.
How do billing and cancellation work?
Search Reset is a $149 one-time project. Managed Search is $299 per month and Recruiter Partner is $599 per month. Monthly plans renew until you cancel. Email john@joustlist.com to cancel. There is no three-month minimum commitment. Payment is handled by Stripe.
How does the job-offer refund work?
Plans are month-to-month. After three full paid months on a monthly plan, if you accept a job offer, we'll refund the subscription charge for the month you accept it. This is a one-time refund of that month's payment, not a refund of all previous payments. You can cancel before three months; three full paid months are required for refund eligibility, not a minimum subscription commitment. To cancel, email john@joustlist.com. Payment is handled by Stripe, not on this site.
Is a recommendation a guaranteed referral?
No. We only recommend someone where we've assessed the fit and can support the claim. A cold note isn't a warm relationship, and no one can guarantee an interview.
